LL COOL J TO BE TOP-DRAWER ACTOR

James Todd Smith, (LL Cool J), wants everyone to know that he's taking the acting business seriously.
"I want to be in the fraternity of actors," he told TV Guide Online. "I want to be accepted by the media and the other actors as a person [who] really does act and does his job as an actor. Right now, my dream and my focus is to one day be on the A-list." With the dramedy "Kingdom Come," the 33 year-old rapper/actor has definitely elevated his acting skills.
"This was the biggest stretch that I've made as an actor, and the biggest step that I've taken."
"Kingdom Come" also stars Whoopi Goldberg, Jada Pinkett Smith and Vivica A. Fox and Cedric The Entertainer.

THE VISIT BREAKS THE RULES

"It's breaking the rules that say that the public would never be entertained by African Americans telling a dramatic story," says Hill Harper, one of the film's stars. "When it comes to African Americans and African American actors, Hollywood has always felt that if you can make us laugh, that's fine, but we don't need to see you do a 'Schindler's List,' where there's no jokes or music or comedic through-line."
Billy Dee Williams, who plays Harper's father in "The Visit" says: "I've never seen black folks treated this way, with this kind of seriousness. The film tells a psychological journey, as opposed to having everyone just sitting around eating chitlins and having a good time."

ROSARIO DAWSON'S FRIENDS

Rosario Dawson just finished "Josie & The Pussycats" and beside hit films she also has beauty and loving friends
Recently, she told reporters that some of her friends aren't dealing with her fame very well.
"I haven't changed that much. It's just that people treat you different," said Dawson. "People automatically go, 'ohmigoodness, you just worked with that person.' That must mean your suddenly this great person. It's not like wisdom necessarily rubs off on you and you suddenly become this elite person. You're still yourself."
Despite her work schedule and fame, Rosario still has nothing but love for her friends.
"They always say, 'Don't get too big for us little people,' but they've just gotta realize that they're my friends in real life. I wanna ride the subway train with them forever."
