"Usher is fine and he can dance, sing and act," says a teen fan at the BET chat site.

"Usher is cheeeeeesy," a generalist statement by non-fans. Either you love him or you don’t.

Usher Raymond IV, 24, who began singing in his church choir at age 9, lyrics stream in and out of the conscious and subconscious minds that tune into today's R&B.

No matter your level of consciousness, there is something about the meaning of Usher's words, the way he relays them through music and dance that is just down right real to the human experience. The fact that you can't get them out of your head, whether you think you like his songs or not, says something. Usher has swayed and swooned audiences with his straightforward interpretations on life.

Songs like…"U got it bad when you're stuck in the house, you don't wanna have fun, cause all you think about is… you got it bad," and "U remind me of a girl that I once knew…that is why I just can't get with you," are some of the multiplatinum lyrics from his third album "8701" which was inspried by a blind-love experience.

Nowadays Usher says he and Rozonda (Chilli) Thomas of the group TLC are a hot item. And even though she’s six years older than he is, Usher says they’re in love and he knows how to treat a lady. Usher says he’s very supportive of Thomas and is there for her during the good and bad times.

Usher's talent stands out because of his willingness to delve into other artistic genres that include acting and dancing. He contributes greatly to the choreography that appears in his videos and on stage. Usher’s smooth dance moves give him an edge in the music industry when compared to Michael Jackson, James and Bobby Brown.

Usher has appeared in the films "Texas Rangers," "The Faculty" and "Light it Up." Making sure that he is not labeled as a limited artist, he is quick to point out that he is multidimensional when it comes to entertainment.
Usher’s audiences agree that he is a multifaceted and multi-talented man.

While Usher has been singing since the days of his early youth in gospel choirs, he made his mark at the age of 14, when LaFace Records signed him to a recording contract. Working with producers like P. Diddy, Jermaine Dupri, Babyface and other music notables, Usher has gained tremendous success performing for audiences of up to 15,000 fans. He’s received a Grammy for Best Male R&B Vocal Performance and has cut a commercial deal with Coca-Cola.

With three CD's down, the Evolution 8701 tour complete, and acting roles, Usher is at the cusp of his tenth year in show business.

His image has grown from that cute little 14-year-old that we knew in 1987 (hence 8701) to a more mature entertainer who is actualized and innately sensual.

"I've been there, done it, humped around, after all that this is what I found, nobody wants to be alone. If you're touched by the words of this song…sing it--u got, u got it bad."
