Samuel L. Jackson will make his third presenter appearance on this year's Academy Awards telecast, show producers Richard D. and Lili Fini Zanuck have announced.

Jackson was nominated for an Oscar(R) in 1994 in the Supporting Actor category for his performance as a hitman in "Pulp Fiction."

Jackson recently completed production on two films, the court martial drama "Rules of Engagement" and John Singleton's "Shaft." He currently is in production on "Caveman's Valentine," the story of a homeless man in New York who discovers a murder. Jackson also serves as executive producer on the film.

His other credits include "Deep Blue Sea," "The Red Violin," "The Negotiator" and "Jackie Brown."

Academy Awards for outstanding film achievements of 1999 will be presented on March 26, 2000, at the Los Angeles Shrine Auditorium. Sunday at the Oscars(R) will be televised live by the ABC Television Network beginning at 5:00 p.m. (PST), with a half-hour red carpet arrivals segment preceding the presentation ceremony.
