Coverage:
Rappers Snoop Dog and Dr. Dre star in this borderline comedy about two car wash employees whose favorite pastime of chasing ladies during work hours, hustling customers with side-scams, is suddenly interrupted when their boss Mr. Washington (George Wallace) is kidnapped.
Mr. Washington owning a car wash is suppose to be funny, so you can see the level of humor in this flick.
Fact of the matter is, Dee Loc (Snoop Dog) and Sean (Dr. Dre) dont even like the disagreeable Mr. Washington. However, they are forced by a crazy ex-employee to figure out a way to get him back from the kidnappers in order to save the business.
"The Wash" does provide a few chuckles, but they come far a few between the storyline which is sort of a homage to Ice Cube's "Next Friday" and Richard Pryors "Car Wash" which are much better films.
Written and directed by rap entrepreneur DJ Pooh, who shares a cameo with Eminem, "The Wash" should attract Snoop Dog and Dr. Dres fans, but their drawing power probably wont be enough to satisfy their following because the plot is too weak and soggy.
