Coverage:

Blade is MTVish.  Blade is gory.  Blade explodes, gushes and drips with blood, as a rock music backdrop blares and eye-popping images jump out at you.
Inspired by the Dark Horse comic book, Blade is a crimson horror tale of an avenging half vampire, played by Wesley Snipes.  I might add that Blade is rather corny, but the action, from the first scene where a young man with a sinister-looking woman enter a meat packing plant that hides a disco, to the closing credits is so captivating, you'll excuse the cheap thrills because you're caught up in the flow of the story.
The story has Blade (Wesley Snipes), human mentor, Abraham (Kris Kristofferson) and Karen a hematologist (N'Bushe Wright), fighting the forces of the undead.
Stephen Dorff plays the hippie-style leader of the vampires who trying to take over the world from the humans and the old guard vampires who dwell in the business world.
