Nominees for the 22nd Annual Screen Actors Guild Awards were announced this morning at the Pacific Design Center in West Hollywood, Calif.

Leading the pack is Idris Elba who was nominated in both the television and film categories. He earned an outstanding performance by a male actor nod for the BBC drama “Luther” and a supporting male actor nod for film “Beasts of No Nation." The film, which is based on the 2005 book of the same name by Nigerian author Uzodinma Iweala is also nominated for outstanding performance by a cast in a motion picture which earned Elba a third nomination.  "Straight Outta Compton," "Trumbo," "Spotlight" and "The Big Short" will vie with "Beasts" for the outstanding performance by a cast in a motion picture category.

SAG Award favorites Julia Louis-Dreyfus and Helen Mirren didn’t fail to garner awards norms once again. Louis-Dreyfus was nominated for the political satire “Veep” and Mirren, who has earned 13 SAG Award nominations to date, received three more nominations for films “Woman in Gold” and “Trumbo,” in both the female lead and motion picture cast category. Viola Davis and Uzo Aduba were also nominated again this year for their respective television dramas, while Queen Latifah snagged a nomination for her portrayal of singer Bessie Smith in the HBO drama “Bessie.”

Anna Faris and Anthony Mackie revealed the nominees, which include five motion picture categories and eight television categories.  Vying for best actor is Leonardo DiCaprio for his role on “The Revenant,” Michael Fassbender for “Steve Jobs,” Johnny Depp for “Black Mass” and Bryan Cranston for “Trumbo.”

Surprise snubs this year include the Fox television show “Empire,” which failed to garner any nominations, the riveting Tom Hardy starrer “Legend” in which he plays dual biographical characters, Will Smith’s “Concussion” and the hit space flick “The Martian” were all left out of the nominations.

The?22nd Annual Screen Actors Guild Awards presented by SAG-AFTRA with Screen Actors Guild Awards, LLC will be produced by Avalon Harbor Entertainment, Inc.?and nationally simulcast live on TNT and TBS on Saturday, Jan. 30, 2016 at 8 p.m. (ET) / 5 p.m. (PT).
